Robert Card, the main suspect in the Maine mass shooting, found dead

If mass shootings happen in countries like Pakistan - which is very well true - but if the same thing happens in the United States, we do not see it as an act of terror just because people can buy firearms legally in the US and 26 states allow to carry guns without a permit - Florida passing the legislation recently.
Another mass shooting took place in the US. This time the sad incident occurred in Lewiston City, Maine state.
The gunfire broke out shortly before 7 p.m. (Maine local time) and left 18 people dead and nearly 60 injured.
The attack happened on Wednesday night at a local bar and a bowling alley in the small town of Lewiston.
The suspect in the mass shooting was identified as Robert Card, a firearms instructor in the US Army Reserve who was recently discharged from a mental health facility after reporting hallucinations. Maine State Police released the photographs and other details of the suspect.
Seven people were killed at the bowling alley, eight at Schemengees Bar and Grille, and three were pronounced dead at local hospitals.
Soon after the incident, the Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston issued a statement saying it was "reacting to a mass casualty, mass shooter event" and coordinating with area hospitals to take patients.
Emergency personnel were called to separate shootings at a bowling alley, a restaurant, and a Walmart distribution center, the Sun Journal reported.
Hours after the incident, hundreds of police fanned out across the state of Maine hunting for the suspect.
Police also found a white SUV they believe Card drove to the town of Lisbon, about 7 miles (11 km) to the southeast, and Sauschuck said people were asked to remain indoors in both Lewiston and Lisbon, Reuters reported.
According to the Associated Press, soon after the incident, Maine State Police ordered residents in the state’s second-largest city to shelter in place Wednesday night, after they received information of an active shooter situation in multiple locations.
"Please stay off the roads to allow emergency responders access to the hospitals," police said.
Rober Card, who was 40 years of age and the main suspect in the mass shooting, was found dead from an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound, Maine Commissioner of Public Safety Michael Sauschuck said.
Commissioner Sauschuck said the body was found at 19:45 local time (23:45 GMT) on Friday near a river in Lisbon Falls.
Incidents like this are not rare in America, they are becoming frequent with each year passing.
The Maine shooting is the 565th mass shooting recorded this year. The suspects found are usually mentally ill like Robert Card.
In 2021, the most recent year for which complete data is available, 48,830 people died from gun-related injuries in the U.S.
The loose gun laws in the US are the cause of death of several innocent Americans. The mass shootings that happened recently are because of communal hate towards Black Americans, Asian Americans, and the LGBTQ community.
There is a call from some lawmakers to tighten the gun laws, but most support gun freedom.
The shootings have also become common with school children in the US, where a child carries a gun of his parents and uses it to hurt the teacher or other children with he has some kind of conflict.
America has made a habit of lecturing other countries on human rights issues, especially countries like India, which opposes the US' dominant attitudes. If this is what human rights are called in the US, then I find it my duty as a human being to inform the all mighty United States of America that your definition of human rights and liberty is very wrong.
